NJPN Annual Conference Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is the Conference Registration Fee?
    The 2025 NJPN Annual Conference will be a two-day event, held on June 12 and 13, 2025, with options to join us for a single day on June 12 OR June 13, or for the full two-day event. Early Bird Rate through March 31, 2025 Day 1 (June 12): $100 Day 2 (June 13): $200 Full Conference (June 12 and 13): $300 Advance Registration Rate beginning April 1, 2025 through May 15, 2025 Day 1 (June 12): $125 Day 2 (June 13): $225 Full Conference (June 12 and 13): $350 Late Registration Rate beginning May 16, 2024 through June 11, 2024: Day 1 (June 12): $150 Day 2 (June 13): $250 Full Conference (June 12 and 13): $400 Onsite Registration Rate Day 1 (June 12): $200 Day 2 (June 13): $300 Full Conference (June 12 and 13): $500
  • What Is Included with My Registration Fee?
    Day One Registration Fee Includes: 4 CEUs (One 60-minute opening workshop & Two 75-minute workshop sessions) Exhibit Hall access Conference educational materials Networking opportunities Conference Reception (4:30PM - 6:00PM) access All recovery meeting (7:00PM - 8:00PM) access (located at the Sheraton Hotel Atlantic City on June 12) Day Two Registration Fee Includes: 5 CEUs (One 60-minute keynote, one 60-minute plenary, two 75-minute workshop sessions) Continental breakfast Sit-down lunch Afternoon snack Exhibit Hall access Conference educational materials Networking opportunities Conference Reception (4:30PM - 6:00PM) access on Day One. All recovery meeting (7:00PM - 8:00PM) access (located at the Sheraton Hotel Atlantic City on June 12) Full Conference registration fee includes all of the above.
  • Will On-Site Registration Be Available?
    Yes! On-site registration will be available on both June 12 and 13, 2025. Please note, only credit card or cash payments will be accepted for on-site registration. If you need to make your payment with a check or purchase order, please notify Susanna@njpn.org as soon as possible. On-site registration fees: Day 1 (June 12): $200 Day 2 (June 13): $300 Full Conference (June 12 & 13): $500
  • May I Transfer My Registration to Another Person?
    Absolutely! If you have registered for the event and are no longer able to attend, you may transfer your paid registration to another person. Substitutions are permitted at any time at no additional cost, however, requests for substitutions must be received via email. Prior to June 9, 2025: Please email the name of the original registrant and the name of the person substituting to Susanna@njpn.org and include “2025 Conference Substitution” in the subject line. After June 9, 2025: Advance substitutions will no longer be accepted at this time, but substitutions can be made on-site at Guest Services. Please bring a copy of the original registration confirmation email to present at Guest Services the day of the Conference.
  • How Can I Cancel My Registration / What is the Refund Policy?
    NJPN makes financial obligations based on the number of registrants for the Conference, therefore, a refund cannot be provided after May 15, 2025 – unless the event is canceled. Requests for cancellation must be received via email for processing. Please email all cancellation requests to Susanna@njpn.org and include “2025 Conference Cancellation” in the subject line. All requests for cancellation with full refund will be accepted through May 15,2025, after which all cancellations/no-shows will be charged the full registration fee. You may substitute another individual for your paid registration at any time (see transfer FAQ).
  • Are Scholarships Available to Attend the 2025 Annual Conference?
    Scholarships through the Governor’s Council on Substance Use Disorder (GCSUD) will not be available in 2025. Municipal Alliances may use grant funds that have been allocated for training for their NJPN Conference registration and mileage but not for overnight accommodations.   • Can I Invite My Friends and Colleagues to Attend the Event?
    Absolutely – we are counting on you to invite others! Help us spread the word by simply sharing the link to this page and they can register at their convenience, including the day of the event.
  • If I am Unable to Attend the In-Person Conference, May I View the Presentations Later?
    The 2025 Conference will be held in-person only at the Atlantic City Convention Center on June 12 & 13, 2025. There is no option for hybrid, virtual, or later on-demand viewing for this year’s event.
  • Where Will the 2025 Conference be Held?
    The 2025 NJPN Annual Conference will be held on June 12 and 13, 2025 at the Atlantic City Convention Center, located at 1 Convention Blvd, Atlantic City, NJ, 08401.
  • How Can I Travel to the Atlantic City Convention Center?
    The Atlantic City Conference Center can be reached through multiple modes of public transportation: Atlantic City Airport – ~12 miles/20 minutes from ACCC Philadelphia Airport – ~65 miles/60 minutes from ACCC Atlantic City Rail Line (NJ Transit) – arrives at ACCC
  • Do I Have to Pay for Parking?
    Parking will be validated for registered Conference attendees at the Atlantic City Convention Center garage only. Parking validation will be available throughout the entire Conference. Attendees staying overnight at the Sheraton Hotel under the NJPN room block will have self-parking fees validated by NJPN. Valet parking fees must be paid by hotel guest at the Sheraton (see hotel FAQ for room block information). Parking at other locations cannot be validated at the Conference.
  • Is Accessible Parking Available?
    Yes! Accessible Parking is available at the Atlantic City Convention Center parking garage. To access this area, it is required that your valid handicap access tag or license plates are visibly displayed on your vehicle at all times while parked in this designated area. Please indicate your need for accessible parking on the registration form to ensure there will be space provided for you.
  • Are Non-Casino Hotel Accommodations Available?
    Yes! NJPN reserved two room blocks for registered Conference attendees: Sheraton NJPN has worked with the Sheraton hotel to offer attendees* a discounted room rate of $119 plus tax per night for Wednesday, June 11, 2025; Thursday, June 12, 2025; and/or Friday, June 13, 2025. The Sheraton Atlantic City is connected to the Atlantic City Convention Center. Valet parking fees must be paid by hotel guest. Claridge NJPN has worked with the Claridge hotel to offer attendees a room rate of $70 plus tax plus $25 self-parking or $35 valet parking per night for Wednesday, June 11, 2025 and/or Thursday, June 12, 2025. The Claridge Hotel is 3 blocks away from the Atlantic City Convention Center, located at 123 South Indiana Avenue, Atlantic City, NJ, 08401.   • Is a Coat Check Available?
    There is no coat check at the Atlantic City Convention Center. The room temperatures may vary from warm to quite chilly, so dressing in layers or keeping your coat handy will keep you comfortable throughout the day.
  • Will Food be Provided at the Conference?
    Thursday, June 12 will offer: Conference Reception immediately following the last workshop session from 4:30p to 6p. The Conference Reception is a warm, informal gathering for attendees to network and relax. Light refreshments and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided. Friday, June 13 will offer: Continental breakfast Hot lunch* Afternoon snack *Hot lunch options include: Chicken (gluten-free) Pasta (meatless/vegetarian) Vegan Kosher/Halal* *Please note, this is a frozen entrée as the Atlantic City Convention Center is not a kosher/halal kitchen. If none of the above options meet your dietary restrictions, please consider bringing your own meal.
  • I Have ADA Accessibility Needs, What Are My Options?
    The Atlantic City Convention Center accessibility features include elevators to all levels; exterior ramps for wheelchair access; braille signage in elevators and meeting rooms; and accessible restrooms with appropriate fixtures. Please contact our Conference Coordinator, Susanna Emanuel, at Susanna@njpn.org to request additional needed ADA accommodation.
  • Will Renewal Credits or Professional Development Hours be Awarded?
    Yes, renewal credits/professional development hours will be awarded for the below credentials upon completion of workshop requirements (see below). The 2025 NJPN Annual Conference is pre-approved for credits for all certifications issued by The Addiction Professionals Certification Board of NJ. CCS – Certified Clinical Supervisor CDA – Chemical Dependency Associate CJC – Criminal Justice Counselor CPRS – Certified Peer Recovery Specialist CPS – Certified Prevention Specialist CRSP – Certified Recovery Support Practitioner L/CADC - Licensed/Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor L/CSW - Licensed/Clinical Social Worker* LAAT – Licensed Associate Art Therapist** LAC – Licensed Associated Counselor LPAT – Licensed Professional Art Therapist** LPC – Licensed Professional Counselor LRC – Licensed Rehabilitation Counselor M/CHES - Master/Certified Health Education Specialist*** MFT – Marriage and Family Therapist MFT-Associate – Marriage and Family Therapist Permit NCPRSS – National Certified Peer Recovery Support Specialist PH – Public Health Department of Education Professional Development Hours also will be awarded. *Approval Pending through Social Work Board of Examiners **Approval Pending through Division of Consumer Affairs ***Approval Pending through NCHEC Other credentials not listed here are not pre-approved and will need to be submitted by attendees to their respective Board. Conference program, workshop descriptions, and certificates of attendance are available to each attendee to assist individuals interested in applying for renewal credit to their respective Boards.
  • How Many Renewal Credits or Professional Development Hours Will be Awarded?
    The 2025 NJPN Annual Conference is offering: 4 CEUs for Day One Workshops 5 CEUs for Day Two Workshops 9 CEUs for Full Conference
  • If I am Unable to Stay for the Full Day, Can I Receive Partial Credit?
    Credits are earned per completed workshop. Individual certificates will be generated upon completion of workshop requirements. Please see above “How to earn credits” question for more detail on workshop requirements.
  • I Don’t Need Credits, Can I Have a Certificate of Attendance?
    Yes! All conference attendees will be issued a generic Certificate of Attendance at the end of each day.
